Privacy Policy

Overview

Oura Health Agent ("the Application") is a private, self-hosted integration that connects to the Oura API to retrieve personal health data for the sole use of the application owner. This application is not available to the general public.

Data collected

The Application accesses the following data from your Oura account via the Oura API v2:

• Daily readiness score and contributor metrics (HRV balance, recovery index, sleep balance, resting heart rate, body temperature)
• Daily sleep score and contributor metrics (deep sleep, efficiency, latency, REM sleep, restfulness, timing, total sleep)
• Daily activity score (steps, calories, activity level)

The Application does not access or store email addresses, personal identifying information, raw heart rate time series, GPS data, or any data beyond the daily summary scores listed above.

How data is used

Retrieved health metrics are:

• Stored locally on a private, self-hosted server as JSON files
• Used to populate a "Readiness" field in a personal workout tracking spreadsheet
• Made available to local AI agents (running on the same server) for context-aware fitness recommendations

Data is never transmitted to third parties, sold, shared, or used for advertising. All data remains on the self-hosted server under the owner's exclusive control.

Data storage and security

• All data is stored on a private server accessible only to the application owner
• OAuth2 tokens are stored in encrypted configuration files on the server filesystem
• The server is protected by standard security practices (SSH key authentication, firewall, regular updates)
• No data is stored in cloud databases or third-party services beyond the owner's self-hosted infrastructure

Data retention

Health metric summaries (scores only) are retained indefinitely as part of the owner's personal workout history. OAuth2 tokens are refreshed automatically and old tokens are overwritten. The owner may delete all stored data at any time by removing files from the server.

Data sharing

No data is shared with any third party. The Application operates entirely within a private, self-hosted environment.

Your rights

As the sole user and operator of this application, you have full control over all data. You may revoke the application's access to your Oura data at any time through your Oura account settings.
